Learn how to create your own indigo vat and Shibori techniques to create beautiful patterns and effects onto your fabric. Eco-Print and Solar Dyeing Workshop

Under the right conditions, a prolonged contact of leafs or flowers on the cloth can make a beautiful print. Learn how to natural dye cotton in the eco print method and creating one of kind piece of art. Solar Dyeing is a simple form dyeing fabric where we use the heat of the sun over several days to achieve colours on yarn or cloth. In this workshop, you will learn how to prepare your fibres for both methods and continue to experiment from our own home. 10-12 maximum.

A tapestry is a form of textile/fibre art that is traditionally woven on a vertical loom. Learn how to set up your loom from start to finish and some basic techniques to weave your tapestry! Students will learn essential tapestry weaving techniques and have a choice to work with traditional or non-tradition materials. Class of 10-12 maximum. 
$40 plus material fee $10
An option to purchase the loom ($15 per frame)

Print London with Love

Print London With Love
Print London is a collective of artists who share a passion for printmaking and are having an exhibition of prints at The Arts Project that runs from February 10-21. The group consists of both established and emerging artists and will display a wide variety of print techniques from traditional etchings, lithographs, silkscreens and relief to textile, sculptural and mixed media works. 
On opening night, Tuesday Feb 10 from 5-8pm the group will be selling hand printed cards as a fundraiser for future printmaking endeavours.
We hope to meet new printmakers that may be interested in joining our group and also share the diversity and inspiring visual possibilities of print media.
